AWSA is  made up of 500 Christian women authors, speakers, TV hosts, life coaches, movie makers and communicators who have written books, spoken at conferences, hosted TV programs, published books and more.

The organization was founded in 2000 by best-selling author Linda Evans Shepherd and is under the umbrella of Right to the Heart Ministries, a 501 (c) 3.
